What Does Will Smith Think About His Son Wearing Dresses?

In an interview with the BBC this week, Will Smith was asked what he thinks about his children's artistic expression.  If you guys have been paying attention, the two have been challenging the gender rolls in todays society.

Jaden's even gone as far as wearing dresses.

But what does Will think of all this?

In the interview, he stated

“There’s really a powerful internal quality as an artist that, as parents, we encourage. You have to get out on the edge. You have to try things. You have to be comfortable doing things that people don’t agree with. And you have to be comfortable doing things that you can fail. Jaden is 100 percent fearless. He will do anything. So, as a parent, it’s scary. It’s really terrifying, but he is completely willing to live and die by his own artistic decisions. He just doesn’t concern himself with what people think.”

Catch the whole interview where Will Smith talks parenting, Suicide Squad, not acting in the new Independence Day and about the "narrowing of tolerance in America" with the Oscars Boycott:

Not something I would do, but I admire his courage to question society rules. I personally don’t like the music that’s on the radio (in Brazil), the shows that are on tv and some cultural aspects that almost everyone follows, and that makes me an outsider in various social situations. Because of this, I’m glad there are public people out there trying to make a change in the way society sees those who choose not to follow the majority rules.
