Apple CEO Tim Cook Says NOPE to Federal Government

Click here to read the full letter Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote all Apple customers in response to a demand by the federal government to hack into the Iphone.  Why is the government asking him to do this? Well, remember the San Bernadino terrorist attack in December? That's why.

"...Specifically, the FBI wants us to make a new version of the iPhone operating system, circumventing several important security features, and install it on an iPhone recovered during the investigation. In the wrong hands, this software — which does not exist today — would have the potential to unlock any iPhone in someone’s physical possession..."

Apple, which prides itself against hacking and such "backdoor" encryption says making this software could make all your private information more easily accessible. Liiiiike, basically, think of it this way.  Your microphone could be activated without you knowing.  Your camera.  That app with all your bank info? Yea, that too.

What do you guys think?  If it could prevent potential terrorism, should we allow the government access to our phones? In the name of freedom?  Comment or Tweet @wakeyagameup with your responses.

I agree with you…Apple is a company and they should be able to use the 1st amendment. I get it that the reason the Government wants Apple to do this because it will help hack into this one phone, but really risk the security and privacy of all Apple users just so that this one phone can be opened??
